Travel Plan:
The journey begins with an overnight departure to Hampi. Upon arriving early in the morning, you'll check into your hotel and freshen up. After a hearty breakfast, the exploration of this UNESCO World Heritage Site begins. Your first day in Hampi will take you through the spiritual and historic heart of the Vijayanagara Empire. Visit the sacred Virupaksha Temple, one of the oldest functioning temples in India, followed by the Hemakuta Hill Temples known for their breathtaking views and ancient charm. Marvel at the iconic Stone Chariot near the Vittala Temple, and stop by the massive Sasivekalu Ganapati statue. You’ll also witness the fierce and majestic Ugra Narasimha Statue, carved from a single rock. The day concludes with a return to the hotel for a relaxing evening and overnight stay.
After breakfast, the journey continues into the royal quarters of Hampi, showcasing the architectural brilliance of the Vijayanagara kings. Begin with a visit to the beautifully designed Queen’s Bath, a royal bathing complex reflecting Indo-Islamic architecture. Next, explore the majestic Elephant Stables, a symmetrical row of domed chambers that once housed the royal elephants. Wander through the Royal Enclosure, home to structures like the Mahanavami Dibba, Stepped Tank, and ancient Durbar Halls that echo the glory of a lost empire. After an early morning arrival in Dandeli and a refreshing fresh-up and breakfast, the group will dive into an exciting day filled with thrilling water sports and outdoor activities. The adventure begins with kayaking, river rafting, boating, and water zorbing, offering the perfect dose of adrenaline and fun. Guests can also enjoy swimming in the natural surroundings, followed by rain dance sessions to cool off and have fun with the group. As the sun sets, the evening comes alive with a lively music night, campfire, and group activities under the stars. Those interested can also participate in light trekking amidst the lush forest landscapes of Dandeli. The day ends with a peaceful overnight stay at a scenic Dandeli pool resort, where nature meets comfort.
After breakfast at the resort, the group will check out and head towards Gokarna, a serene coastal town known for its spiritual and scenic charm. Upon arrival, visit the historic Mirjan Fort, a 16th-century fort enveloped by nature and steeped in history. After lunch, the journey continues to Udupi, a vibrant coastal destination. The highlight of the evening is a visit to the famous St. Mary’s Island, known for its unique hexagonal basalt rock formations, crystal-clear waters, and tranquil beach ambiance. Spend the evening enjoying the coastal breeze before heading to your accommodation for a restful night in Udupi.
